A poem

I have sinned beneath shadows
Sold my soul into slavery
On street corners to strangers
Child sacrifices beneath the Lote tree
No ram offered
Shamelessly starving
Only potatoes to eat
Looking for my reflection
In revolving doors
Circus mirrors
Corridors of mental hospitals
Telling me if I was pretty enough
Too fat..too thin…or sane
But truly I was looking for You
Without a guidebook
Without a 12 step program
No one told me
The rules to play
Only You I would dream of
Within mist-filled forests
Beneath a full moon
Where all was possible
Love was enduring
Not passed judgement
I would lie upon
The forest floor in innocence
And melt within the earth
Be apart of the Eternity of stars overhead
And I would be clean
Of the grime of life
I would be a member to all that was living
And within the forest floor
The remains of all those who went before me
Their existence
In this imperfect world
Their sins erased
Becoming the essence
Of new generation of souls
I would find You in all existence
To never feel betrayed
Only love..only love
No feeling of age
Just soul..no judgement
Enduring acceptance
Enduring love
